Billycan

Walter Hicks, the wine division of St Austell Brewery, approached Kingdom & Sparrow to rebrand and create a wine label design for their range of Australian wines formerly known as Richmond Ridge. The brief was to work with an Australian theme without becoming clichéd.

Using a traditional Aussie cooking pot for inspiration, we created a fun and lighthearted design for Billycan that evokes classic Australian charm. We feel the torn-paper die-cut, hand drawn pelican and subtle use of gold foiling strikes a tone that suggests intrigue and approachability.
