Design: Pristop
Head of Design & Innovation: Matija Kocbek
Art Director: Barbara Podlogar
Copywriter: Peter Zabret
Account Director: Damjana Groselj
Designer: Samo Jarc
Videographer: Primoz Korosec
Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
Client: Fedora Wines
Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia
Packaging Contents: (Natural) wine
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass bottle
Printing Process: Offset

House of authentic wines Fedora started making »Petillant Naturele« wine, embracing the principle of ancient winemaking which includes only natural fermentation. The brand idea of Fedora is to connect their winery with a unique story, reflecting it on the packaging. The Petilant Naturelle wine is well known around the world, but Fedora was one of the first to present it on the Slovenian market, which is quite competitive.

What's Unique?
The challenge with Petillant Naturele is that it has an opaque, blurry texture. Due to natural fermentation it needs some time to clear up. In order to turn it into an advantage, we created a tragic story about a sailor, who once saw a mermaid and then translated it into wine packaging that invites the user to interact with it and look through in sailor's eye hole on the bottle. If wine is transparent and therefore ready to be drunken, one can see a mermaid on the other side.

Design: Doble Giro

Art Director: Luis Aguila
Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
Client: Cuisine&Co
Location: Chile
Packaging Contents: Frozen Vegetables
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Plastic

In Chile there is a big campaign to make people eat healthier, especially children.

It is always a challenge for parents to bring the world of vegetables to their children, which is why the Cuisine&Co line of vegetables wants to facilitate this task, creating a line of products friendly and close to children.

We decided to personify each vegetable, using a wooden spoon very typical in Chilean kitchens to create entertaining characters.

Each vegetable has its own personality and they communicate through a text bubble in a colloquial and close way, Don Choclo for example tells us "I'm going straight to the grain", Doña Cebolla tells us "don't cry for me". Phrases like "I'm very tender" and "pure color" give life to each character.

We want to differentiate ourselves in gondola for being a nice, colorful package, and that brings us closer in a positive way to the world of vegetables.

Design: Daria Gavrilova
3D Visualizer: Viktoria Mokhova
Project Type: Student Project
School: HSE Art and Design School
Course: 2
Tutor: Phillip Tretyakov
Location: Moscow, Russia
Packaging Contents: Alternative milk
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass bottle

At school we had the task to create a new product and to design a packaging for it. Currently, the most of alternative milk is being packaged by Tetra Pak cartons which is difficult to recycle while such product should involve caring for the environment. That’s why I decided to use glass for my product.

Furthermore, there was the aim to make plant milk more familiar and comprehensible to customers. Hence, I included nonverbal communication in design inspired by several systems of symbols. The front side of the bottle works as a rebus. It enciphers a name by combination of “MO” and a picture of nut or other product from what milk was made. On the back we have an answer in a form of bizarre fictional word, for instance “MOMINDAL” where “mo” is a part of Russian word “moloko” meaning “milk” in English and “mindal” is “almond”. If we have had an adaptation of it in English it would sound like “malmond”. Thus, each type of milk in series has its unique name.

Besides, there is an additional text about product on the backside. It contains another symbols resemble to emoji. Here pictures replace entire words and invite customers to guess what they mean. So, this is all about communication game between the packaging and customers that makes the product more curious and close.

Design: George Probonas
Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
Client: ÉSOPHY Chocolates
Location: Athens, Greece
Packaging Contents: Chocolates
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Paper
Printing Process: Offset printing

ÉSOPHY encapsulates the sweet vision of two Greek professional chocolatiers and chocolate lovers; to create delicious pieces by hand, while guaranteeing the ethical aspect in raw materials use.

The same ideals were applied in the creation of their visual identity. In an effort to bring forward the human element, all the illustrations express a sketchy handmade vibe, while paying tribute to the freshness of the ingredients and the sophisticated recipes of the brand. The cocoa nib, portrayed as a flowy single-lined drawing, possesses a central spot in the visual identity of the brand and is incorporated in all the different products packaging. The subtle presence of Mediterranean tradition and modern color codes compose the desired sweet spot that conveys freshness, top quality and flavor.
